What Are We Doing This Weekend?

June 20th, 2008 Stormy Weatherr-r-r-r

Date Night! Grab a seat on the patio at Mr. Friendly's tonight or tomorrow night, or, even better, a seat inside with a view of my good friend Roger Hutchison's art work that is currently on display (and for sale!).  Order the smoked salmon with tomato-cucumber salad, green olives, triple-cream brie and grilled ciabatta bread.  Pair it with the Dierberg Pinot Noir or the Taylor Family Chardonnay, and whoooeeeee!  I just made myself drool!  That's such a great date night that I think I may take myself up on it!

Fruit Doesn't Grow At the Grocery Store: Go berry picking!  Just imagine all of the great camera shots that will arise when  your kids are wandering through the strawberry patch!  Cottle Strawberry Farm is open for the 2008 season.  Go to www.cottlestrawberryfarm.com for details!

Choo choo! The Spots and Stripes Railroad has opened at Riverbanks Zoo! Great fun for your little guy who is obsessed with anything resembling Thomas.  Admission is $9.75 for adults, $7.25 for children age 3-12, free for children under 3.

Date Night: Have you been to Saffron (2930 Devine Streert) yet?  All that comes to mind is YUM!  Moroccan food is the BEST!  What better way to spice things up with hubby than to breathe in succulent spices, sip wine, and feast on hummus and kabobs?
